Brambles Nursery School, Kent

Please read the points below, which are for your information and also to ensure that Bramble’s Nursery School will continue to run smoothly and happily:

It is important for the attendance times to be adhered to at all times, unless prior arrangements have been made. Collections made more than 5 minutes after the end of the agreed time will incur the charge of an extra hour. See fees section:

Flexi-hours or extra hours after a morning and lunchtime session may be possible to arrange, subject to availability and at the discretion of the manager. (Flexi-hours in the mornings are not available, unfortunately, due to the higher number of children attending.) See fees' section:

A drink and snack will be provided at each session, we do promote healthy eating. Children wishing to stay for lunch must bring a packed lunch and a drink. Please do not include sweets.

The nursery is open from 8.30a.m:until 4.30 p.m. Each day the door will be opened from 8.20 and 12.50. Parents are invited to come in during those 10 minutes to either chat among themselves or to speak to the manager or supervisor about their child. Children are parent’s responsibility for those 10 minutes and we will ask everyone to leave at 8.30 and 1.00, so that we can start the session.

The timetabled sessions are:

Monday to Friday

A.M Lunch Break P.M.
From To From To From To
8:30 12:00 Noon 1:00 1:00 4:30

Each 3.5 hour session or part time session is charged at ₤12.
The extra lunch period from 12:00 to 1:00 is charged at ₤3.
A full day is charged at ₤24. (There is no charge for lunchtime)
Extra hours or part hour are charged at ₤3.50.
Children eligible for the grant are only funded for 2.5 hours per session. If they attend for the full 3.5 hours there is a charge of ₤3.50

1.       Fees are payable on a termly basis. Bills will be sent out the week prior to a new term and payment will be due on the first day of attendance. Refunds will not be given after sessions have been billed for.

2.       It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that the child attends on the days booked. Unfortunately we are not able to carry forward missed sessions. Nor are they transferable to another child.

3.       Sessions for 3 and 4 year olds, which are covered by the Early Years Development Fund are not transferable and if not attended are forfeited.

As we have a growing problem with parents building up large bills and then taking children away from the nursery we now pass any unpaid bills to a debt collector. Any charges levied by them will be added to the unpaid bill. Also, the local nurseries have started a system of informing each other of bad payers.
